The 5th WMF already registered more than 25.000 petitions of accommodation (30-11-2005) Valencia - Eight month before the begin of the 5th World Meeting of the Families, convoked by the Pope from the 1st to 9th July 2006, it has already registered more than 25.000 petitions of accommodation for people from all over the world, according to sources from the valencian travel agency "Cavaltour", who collaborates with the WMF. Also "Cavaltour" receives "continued petitions" from numerous countries like Australia, Argentina, Brazil, the United States and so from Europe, for journeys to Valencia during the dates of the WMF. The applicants are very divers and "from Italy they have chartered entire planes, where in Slovenia coaches are being demanded", the same sources from "Cavaltour" expressed. At the same time, numerous families from Lisbon have contracted a ship with space for a thousand people to travel to Valencia. Different family associations of dioceses are planning to go to Valencia by sea. The delegation of family pastoral at the dioceses of Alicante is organizing a cruise ship with 980 places on board, according to sources from the Dioceses in Alicante. As well does the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM) prepare a journey by boat, as sources from "Cavaltour" mentioned, "as the option to transport passengers by ship offers also the possibility of accommodation, since the high demand for lodging will stretch the available number of beds in Valencia". The Bancaja travel agency "Calvaltour" offers services for accommodation, transport and cultural visits for the 5th WMF and puts the accommodation services in Hotels and Apart hotels during the days of the event, at the disposal to the Foundation of the 5th WMF, for the associations, groups and other participants in the Meeting. In 1995 "Calvaltour" founded a department, dedicated to religious tourism, where they specialize in congresses, conventions and events. One of their activities is the organization of the pilgrimage to Tierra Santa, routes of the Holy Mary, as well as travels to the World Meetings, presided by the Pope and ceremonies for beatification and canonization. The World Meeting of the Families, convoked by the Pope for Valencia in July 2006, is expecting a participation of more than one and a half million people during the main acts, according to estimations by the Foundation V EMF.
