The website of the WMF reaches one million visitors (10-11-05)

Valencia - The website of the 5th World Meeting of the Families (WMF), www.wmf2006.org, convoked by the Pope in Valencia from the 1st to the 9th July 2006, has registered more than 1,000,000 visitors from all five continents.

Italy (4%) is the second country where most visitors come from, after Spain, followed by the USA and Mexico (3%), it was indicated to the local agency AVAN today by sources of the WMF Organisation. "Even from such a small populated country as Malta, we have received 900 visits", they added.

The website has just added a section dedicated to the International Fair for the Families, that is being celebrated in Valencia from the 1st to 7th July 2006, within the acts of the 5th WMF.

Many associations, organizations and movements that work in favour of the family are invited to participate and "to show through testimonies and experiences their identities and the activities they develop throughout the year", according to the same sources. The general norms about the Fair will be available on the website soon.

Currently, www.wmf2006.org offers the program of the WMF, and also videos about family, news about the event, a forum for volunteers, testimonies, support messages and many other contents.

The website is available in seven langauges, "of which Spanish is the most popular, as it is also chosen by visitors from Central and South América", according the same sources.

The second most cosen language is Italian, followed by English, Portuguese, Valencian Spanish, German and French.

Also more than 500 websites from schools, Congregations, catholic institutions or dioceses all over the world have linked to the WMF Website.
