New degree for "Family Specialists" at the Catholic University of Valencia (26-08-2005) VALENCIA - The Catholic University of Valencia "San Vicente Mártir" will offer the next academic course the title of "University Specialist in Education and Family", which approaches the promotion of the family from the school scope, sources of the University indicated to the local agency AVAN today. This specific degree, which will be developed in collaboration with the Pontifical Institute "John Paul II", is aimed to students and professionals in areas of education, anthropology, psychology and social studies.According to Javier Ros, professor in sociology at the Catholic University and one of the coordinators of the course , "we are trying to provide future teachers with the necessary tools, so that they know the difficulties that families usually have to face, which are their processes and stages, and how to know first-hand techniques on family counselling."
